Taking place at night within the walls of a Monastery, an elf woman, Aela, makes her silent departure from her young half-elf friend, Sylvie. Scarred from events long past, Sylvie is restless, and awakes moments after her friend leaves, left with only a letter saying goodbye. Angry, confused, upset, Sylvie rushes to find her friend in the halls of the monastery. Throwing the letter back at Aela, demanding to know why she deserved to be left behind. Aela admits that her intention was not to hurt her friend, but to shield her from the upcoming dangers of her journey ahead. She has to find her son, and she’s not the only one trying to do so. In the dim light of the monastery, a shadowy hooded figure moves behind the two. Instinctively protective, Aela stresses that they have to leave now. “Are you ready?” "Yes."
